Mysore/Mysuru: Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru and Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru City and District Units, have jointly organised a programme at Sri Rajendra Bhavan in JSS Hospital premises on M.G. Road in city tomorrow at 5 pm to present ‘Shakuntala Jayadeva Sharana Prashasti – 2022.’ Prior to the award presentation, Madalambika and troupe of Sri Rajarajeshwari Akkana Balaga, Mysuru, will render Vachanas at 4.30 pm.
Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city on Tuesday, Sharana Sahitya Parishat City President M.G. Sadanandaiah said that Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will present the award to retd. Principal and writer Dr. Chandrashekaraiah and social worker and writer Mallika Malavalli (K.B. Gurumallamma). The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a citation.
CESC Managing Director Jayavibhavaswamy will inaugurate the event. Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Bengaluru, President Apparao Akkone will preside. Karnataka Police Training School-Mysuru Principal M.S. Geetha Prasanna will be the chief guest.
Writer Dr. C. Naganna will deliver felicitation address. Award donor Shakuntala Jayadeva will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
