Mysuru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister N. Mahesh yesterday visited the city for the first time after becoming the Minister.
He was accorded a warm welcome near the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Gandhinagar by the District BSP unit. He later garlanded the statue of the Father of the Constitution installed at the Circle there.
He later drove to the Town Hall, where he garlanded the newly-installed statue of Dr. Ambedkar there and proceeded to K.R. Circle where he garlanded the statue of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar.
After garlanding the statue of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, the Minister proceeded to Kuvempu Park near the Gun House and garlanded the statue of ‘Rashtrakavi.’
BSP District President Bheemanahalli Somesh, General Secretary Prabhuswamy, City President Prathap, City Convenor Dinakar, District Youth Wing President Sosale Siddaraju and others were present.
