Mysore/Mysuru: The Bhagavan Memorial English Debate Contest for High School students was organised by the Rotary Club of Mysore Midtown in association with Trinity College and Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Midtown on Dec. 16.

Fifty-two students from various institutions in Mysuru participated in the debate contest. The topic for the debate was ‘Use of AI Tools by High School students enhances educational process.’

The youngsters assertively put forth their  perspectives and opinions as they debated for and against the topic.

The experienced judges announced the following winners:

First prize – S. Srirathan of Vijaya Vittala School; Second  prize – Divyasri of Mysore West Lions Sevaniketan School; Third prize – Khushi Hegde of Trinity College; Consolation Prize – Dhanvi of Sapient College.

The event aimed to encourage critical thinking, communication skills and confidence among students besides sharpening their debating abilities in an inspiring academic environment.
