Prize winners of IEEE Project Expo

Mysuru: Following are the winners of the 4th National-level Project Competition ‘IEEE Project Expo – 2019’ organised by GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, under IEEE Student Branch (STB1786) & IEEE WIE Affinity Group, in association with IEEE Bengaluru Section, recently:

The first prize was won by Kaushal Thakare, Ashish Mishra, Om Prakash Gupta, S. Sunil of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, for the project titled “Design and fabrication of automated bio fuel reactor to convert spent cooking oil into bio-diesel” sponsored by Clever Bit Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.

The second prize was bagged by two teams — Mohammed Arshad, M.K. Amthul Nusrath, Almas Khalid Hussain, Mohamed Salman, Abdul Saleem of HKBK College of Engineering, Bengaluru, for the project titled “Envision Pentaxis Organ Printer” and R.B. Vaishnavi, Sucheth, G. Sharada Prakash Rao, B. Lokesha of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, for the project titled “Automatic Rodent Repellent Ultrasonic Mechanism (ARRUM).” One of the 2nd prizes is sponsored by Embiot Technologies, Bengaluru.

The third prize was shared by the three teams — A.P. Pavan Kumar Reddy, M. Nivin, B.N. Srividya, Akshatha Ashok Banakar, Dr. Preeta Sharan of The Oxford College of Engineering, Bengaluru, for the project titled “Bionic hand for amputees”; A. Arjun, Aravind Kumar, Prakash, R. Akshay, Anitha S. Sastry of Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru, for “Smart Bike” and Afrid Shariff, S. Madhukiran, Mehulkumar P. Jain of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysuru, for the project “Iot Based Wearable Smart Health Monitoring System.”

The consolation prize was shared by the four teams — Sanjeev S. Deshpande, Radhika H. Ganeshkar, Prof. B.R. Jyoti of KLS VDIT Haliyal for the project titled “Industrial sewage water purity indicator and purifier based on Arduino using DO sensor”; A. Harshitha, K.M. Bharath Kumar, Sushumna S. Pradeep, H.R. Harshitha, Dr. R.C. Manjunatha of Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru, for “Smart Farming”; R. Moditha Vasuki, H.D. Pooja, H.M. Nikitha, B.R. Sujan, Dr. B.N. Aravind of Rajeev Institute of Technology, Hassan, for “Unmanned Rocker Bogie” and Deepika N. Vaidya, Priyanka Dharmatti, S.M. Kanchana, P. Anand, S. Sharath of Govt. Engineering College, K.R. Pet, for the project “MQTT Authentication for Google Cloud.”

Consolation prizes were sponsored by Digital Shark Technology, Bengaluru.

Over 230 teams from various institutions from across the State took part in the event.
