Prof. B.K. Banker, who served in the Department of English, University of Mysore, for more than two decades, passed away in Murudeshwar on May 1.

He was ailing for some time. The funeral was held in Murudeshwar. He leaves behind his wife Sheela Banker and a host of relatives and friends.

Condoled: Prof. Banker’s colleagues Prof. K.C. Belliappa, former VC, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. Ramachandra, Dr. Krishnamurthy Chandar, Dr. K.T. Sunitha, Dr. Mahadeva, Ramesh Jayaramaiah, friends and students held a condolence meeting in the Department on May 2, according to a press release from Board of Studies Chairman Dr. Rudramuni.
