Mandya: Prof. J. Veeregowda (87), retired English Professor of PES Engineering College, Mandya, passed away yesterday in the town. He had also served twice as Senate Member of Mysore University and President of N. Bhadraiah Grameena Vidyavardhaka Trust at Bellale village in Pandavapura taluk.
He leaves behind his wife Padma, a daughter and a host of relatives & friends.
Last rites were held at his native place Gidada Shambhuvinahalli this morning.
