Prof. K. Devaraja Hegde (79), a resident of Vidyaranyapuram, passed away yesterday following heart attack.

He had served as lecturer at JSS First Grade College in Mysuru for 14 years and later worked as Principal of Dhvala College, Moodabidri. After retirement, he was involved in social service.

He leaves behind his wife, sons Harish Kumar Hegde (Advocate and Industrialist) and Sharath Hegde (Motor Vehicle Inspector at BMTC) and grandchildren.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill today.
