Prof. Syed Abdul Jabbar (91), retired Professor, Department of Geology, BDT College of Engineering at Davanagere and a resident of Bannimantap ‘A’ Layout, passed away on Aug. 14 in city.

He leaves behind one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Namaz-e-Janaza was held yesterday after Namaz-e-Zohar (1.30 pm) at Masjid-e-Noor in Bannimantap, followed by the burial at the Muslim Burial Grounds near Tipu Circle.
