Professor’s house burgled

Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who gained entry into the house of the Associate Professor of a Veterinary College by forcing the door open, have decamped with gold ornaments, silver articles, laptops, cameras and house documents.

The burglary took place at the house of 43-year-old Prof. Ravikumar, Associate Professor at the Veterinary College in Hassan. He was residing at his house in Vijayanagar 4th Stage in city.

On July 4, the Professor fell sick, following which he left his mother in his sister’s house and was staying in his father-in-law’s house located in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage and used to travel to Hassan daily from there.

On July 8, when Prof. Ravikumar went to his house in the night, he found the rear door of the house forcibly opened and on inspecting the house, he found the almirah opened and a gold fingering, silver articles, house document papers, two laptops and two cameras stolen and lodged a complaint at Vijayanagar Police Station.

Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
