Mysuru:  An alleged property feud between a mother and son resulted in the son committing suicide by hanging self at his mother’s house in Aravindanagar here on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar (45), a resident of Siddarthanagar in city.

According to Police, Anil had married Lakshmi about 18 years ago and the couple was residing in Siddarthanagar. There used to be frequent quarrels between Anil and his mother Rajalakshmi over property issue.

On Tuesday night, Anil had gone to his mother’s house at Aravindanagar to ask his share of the property during which there was a fight between the two.

When his (Anil) mother went inside her room, Anil hanged himself from the ceiling fan in the hall using a saree.

Based on the complaint by Anil’s wife, Kuvempunagar Police, have registered a case.
