Proposal for Middle Circle City Bus Route

November 19, 2019

Sir,

This is in continuation of betterment of bus services in Mysuru (Proposal for Outer Circular Bus Route in ‘SOM’ dated Nov. 7). The next proposal is for the Middle Circle which connects intermediate localities of Mysuru along with connecting Suburban Bus Stand directly to many localities, especially suburban bus stand and southern localities of Mysuru.

One request is to allow city buses and have a stop in front of Bhima Gold at least for this route as it would help thousands of passengers.

Coming to the route, the starting point could be any point suitable for KSRTC Mysuru Division. Clockwise route passes in front of Suburban Bus Stand Arrival Gate, Hardinge Circle, Pathashala Circle, Agrahara, Siddappa Square, Chamundipuram Circle, Ballal Circle, Jayanagar Gate, Jayanagar, Udayaravi Road, Kuvempunagar Complex, Kuvempunagar Double Road, Ramavilas Road till All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, SJCE and Hunsur Road in front of BM Hospital.

Towards Vontikoppal Temple Road till Temple, KRS Road, Railway Station, Bamboo Bazaar Main Road, Ummar Khayam Road and Pulakeshi Road (if not possible for road width via Highway Hotel) till Fountain Circle, Shivaji Road till Shivaji Park, Udayagiri Main Road, Mahatma Gandhi Road till Udayagiri Circle, Mahadevapura Main Road, take left towards Gayathripuram, pass through Chamundi Vihar Circle, Prestige Mall, Government Guest House Entrance, Fivelight Circle and back to Suburban Bus Stand — This route is around 25 kms.

One full circle might approximately take around 1 hour 15 minutes. For a frequency of 5 minutes in both directions, 30 buses are needed.
