Mysuru: Members of Reservation Protection Committee staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here yesterday urging the Government to withdraw the order stipulating a minimum of 55% marks for reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, Category-1 and Physically Challenged) as against the earlier 50% in recruitment of PU lecturers.
The protesters alleged that in 2015, the Government had notified recruitment of 1,069 PU lecturers but got postponed till now for three years. Enhancing the marks requirement to 55% now was irrational, they said and urged the Government to withdraw the order and recruit lecturers as per earlier stipulations.
The protest was led by Committee President Rajendra, Vice-President Partha and General Secretary Praveen.
