Quality certification training

Mysore/Mysuru: The District Child Protection Cell, in association with the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and Women and Child Welfare Department, conducted a two-day Child Care Centre Quality Certification Training in city recently.

Speaking after inaugurating the Training programme, Women and Child Welfare Deputy Director K. Padma said that it was mandatory for Child Care Centres to strictly adhere to the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act and other model norms. She also pointed out that Child Care Centres should pay maximum attention for facilities, as per a 2007 Supreme Court order. 

Chief Trainer from Mangaluru, Sister Dulsin Crasta, gave a talk on the concept and objectives of training and quality care at Child Care Centres. 

The event also featured interactions and debates on child issues.
