Balamma (92), wife of S. Venkataramanan Iyer and a resident of Damden Solorium Apartment on Hebbal Ring Road in city, passed away yesterday at her residence.
A classical vocalist, stage actor, director and orator, she leaves behind son Dr.B.R. Sainath Iyer, a former Pharmacology Professor and a host of relatives.
Last rites were performed in city this afternoon.
