Railwaymen stage protest against non-declaration of Product Linked Bonus

Mysore/Mysuru: Members of South Western Railway Mazdoor Union (SWRMU), Mysuru Division, observed All India Bonus Day by staging protest against non-declaration of Product Linked Bonus (PLB) for the financial year 2019-20 in city yesterday.

The protestors said that Adhoc PLB was declared in the year 1979 which was being paid till then and added that the PLD was being declared ahead of Dasara, but this year it has not been declared till date and hence they were forced to stage protest for the same.

SWRMU Divisional President S. Somashekar, Divisional Secretary P. Shivaprakash, General Secretary Dr. A.M. D’Cruz, labour leader Shivakumar and others were present.

Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha

In another protest, members of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) and Hasiru Sene staged dharna opposite Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) Office yesterday. They alleged that management of Asian Paints factory near Immavu in Nanjangud taluk had assured job for each of the family of farmers when their lands were acquired for establishing the factory but has only provided technical training to 61 persons. Now they are forcing us to go in search of jobs elsewhere instead of providing the job as assured, the protestors alleged and demanded that factory management should call for a meeting with farmers and resolve their issues.

All India Democratic Youth Organisation

In yet another protest, members of All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO) staged stir near DC’s Office yesterday and urged the State Government to provide laptop, tool-kits and uniform to all students belonging to SC/ST community who are getting trained in ITI. State President of AIDYO Umadevi, District President  Harish, ITI trainees Mahadevaswamy, Vinay, Sharath and others participated.
