Raitha Dasara at J.K. Grounds from Sept. 26 to 28

Mysore/Mysuru:  Like previous years, J.K. Grounds near City Railway Station, will set the stage for Raitha Dasara from Sept. 26 to 28, organised as part of Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara.

While the preparations for Raitha Dasara is on, it has been decided to inaugurate Agriculture Expo, that showcases farming methods and innovations, at the hands of Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture K. Venkatesh on Sept. 26 at 11 am, said Bheemappa Kalali, Deputy Secretary (Development), Zilla Panchayat (ZP), also the Deputy Special Officer of Raitha Dasara Sub-Committee.

Addressing officials at the preliminary meeting of Raitha Dasara Sub-Committee held at D. Devaraj Urs meeting hall of ZP recently, Kalali said, Agriculture Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy, will flag off the procession organised as part of Raitha Dasara, on Sept. 26 at 9.30 am in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, Mysore Palace North Gate. Social Welfare Minister and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture K. Venkatesh will be participating in the procession, while KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa will preside over the programme.

The procession will pass through K.R. Circle and D. Devaraj Urs Road, before culminating at J.K. Grounds.

The main programme organised at MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee auditorium at J.K. Grounds will be inaugurated by District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa at 11.15 am.

Agriculture Department Joint Director K.H. Ravi, also the Working President of Raitha Dasara Sub-Committee and Fisheries Department Deputy Director G.H. Manjunath, also the Co-Working President of the Sub-Committee, were present at the preliminary meeting.
