Rajeev Balaga plants 1,700 saplings in Mysuru South

Mysuru: Marking the 180th week of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by Rajeev Sneha Balaga, the Balaga along with other organisations  held a mass planting of saplings at three parks in Srinagar Layout here this morning.

About 1,700 saplings were planted on the occasion. Launching the event, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar commended the Balaga and other organisations on their effort to protect the environment. He opined that the environment should be passed on in clean form to the next generation.

Thippeswamy, NSS Convenor, Ayappa Masagi, Water expert, K.B. Ganapathy, Editor-in-Chief, Star of Mysore, Ganapathy Hegde, NSS Seva Pramukh, A. Srihari, Regional Director, Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, Bhavani Shankar, Managing Trustee, Maharshi Educational Institutions, N.R. Manjunath, Co-ordinator, Gopalaswamy Institutions, H.V. Rajeev of Rajeev Sneha Balaga and others were present at the programme.
