Rajnath Singh to hold State Home Ministers’ meeting on July 3

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has convened a meeting of all State Home Ministers on July 3 to review the internal security scenario in the country.

The meeting will discuss the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir, cross-border terrorism, Maoist threat and the situation arising out of the farmers’ unrest among others. Officials said this is the first such conference during the NDA government where all the Home Ministers would discuss the security situation in the country.  During the previous UPA regime, the Union Home Ministry used to call a conference of Chief Ministers every year to discuss the country’s internal security.
