Mysuru: To create awareness on health benefits of taking part in sports, the Kreeda Bharati Organisation will be conducting ‘Rajya Kreeda Sammelana-2025’, a day-long sports meet at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Mysuru, on Jan. 19.

Announcing this at a press meet recently, Kreeda Bharati Field Co-ordinator Chandrashekar Jagirdar said ahead of the sports meet, a rally will be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple to Chamundi Vihar Stadium at 8.30 am, in which sportspersons from different districts will take part.

The meet features various sporting events for school children like Running race, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Hockey, Tug of war, March-past and School Band competition. The event will culminate with a wrestling contest in the evening.

As part of the event, a Lagori contest for personalities has been organised in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple at 8.30 am on Jan.4, in which MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and other dignitaries are expected to take part.

Also, a week-long ‘Kreeda Saptaha’ will be organised in all districts of the State from  Jan. 12, the winners of which can take part in the Mysuru event on Jan.19.
