Alumni give donation for development of neglected Maharaja High School and PU College
Msyore/Mysuru: Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on Nov. 28 by the Maharaja High School and PU College Alumni Association in collaboration with the staff and students.
The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by DDPI D. Udaykumar, Association President B.S. Sridhar Raj Urs, Vice-Principal Dr. Mahesh, Dr. N. Chandrashekar of Aadithya Adhikari Hospital, alumnus Vasudeva Rao, SDMC President Siddappa and faculty members. Rajyotsava Awardee and alumnus M. Yogendra also joined.
Guests and prize-winning students participated in the programme, which featured the felicitation of alumni. Students were encouraged to study diligently and bring glory to the institution and themselves, while recalling the school’s rich legacy.
Generous contributions were made towards the School’s development: President Sridhar Raj Urs donated Rs. 25,000, Dr. Chandrashekar – Rs. 1,00,000, Yogendra – Rs. 15,000, Dr. Mahesh – Rs. 10,000, Vasudeva Rao – Rs. 10,000, Treasurer Rangaswamy – Rs. 10,000 and Vice-President S.V. Gowdappa also promised a generous donation.
In addition, Sridhar Raj Urs donated 40 copies of ‘Badhukalu Kaliyiri’ book by Swami Jagadatmanandaji to the school library.
