Rallies mark Anti-Drug Day in city

Mysuru: The city Police conducted jathas to create awareness on drug abuse and ill-effects of narcotics on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, here this morning.

Jathas were held at various Police Station limits across the city where children from various schools took part in holding placards to spread the message against the use of narcotics.

The Police also addressed schoolchildren to make them understand about the ill-effects of using narcotics and said that if somebody approached them to sell or force them to consume such drugs, it should be immediately brought to the notice of the Police, teachers or parents.

At Agrahara, KR Police Inspector Prakash addressed the students of Akkanabalaga School and Lalitha School and explained them about the evil effects of narcotics.  Corporators Sunil Kumar and B.V. Manjunath and others were present.
