Ranga Sambhrama from Nov. 22

Nadaranga, Khille Mohalla, in association with Kannada and Culture Department, has organised ‘Ranga Sambhrama-2021,’ a 5-day Mythological, Social and Folk Theatre Festival at Kiru Rangamandira in Kalamandira premises from Nov. 22 to 29. Addanda C. Cariappa, Director of Rangayana, Mysuru, will inaugurate the Fest on Nov. 22 at 6.30 pm. Rajashekar Kadamba, President, Kadamba Ranga Vedike, will preside.  H. Chennappa, Assistant Director, Kannada and Culture Department and Vidwan Y.M. Puttannaiah, Rajyotsava awardee, will be the chief guests.

Following the inauguration, Puttannaiah and troupe will present theatre songs.

Schedule

Nov. 23: Staging of ‘Sri Krishna Sandhana’, a Mythological play  by Abhinaya Kala Tanda (Director- B. Renuka Prasad).

Nov. 24: H.K. Yoganarasimha’s  ‘Aduge Bhatta’, a Social play by Sarvodaya Natya Kala Sangha, Mysuru (Director – Late H.K. Yoganarasimha).

Nov. 25: ‘Doorada Betta Nunnage’, a Folk play by Ekatari Samskrutika Sanghatane, Arakalagud (Direction – Devananda Varaprasad).

Nov. 29: ‘Vara Brashta’, a Mythological play by Nadaranga, Mysuru (Director – D. Nagendra Kumar).

All plays are scheduled from 6.30 pm at Kiru Rangamandira and there will be no entry fee. For details call Mob: 99012-65297.
