Rape and murder of Veterinarian in Hyderabad: ABVP stages demonstration demanding death penalty for culprits

Mysuru: Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the students wing of the BJP, staged a massive demonstration in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Saturday, demanding death penalty to all the culprits who are involved in the brutal rape and murder of a 27-year-old veterinary doctor in Hyderabad recently.

Alleging that the 27-year-old Vet was brutally raped and burnt alive by a criminal gang, the protesters condemned the Telangana Home Minister’s statement making light of the incident.

Accusing the Telangana Police of inaction and going slow on the investigation, the protesters demanded death penalty to all the culprits. Urging the Telangana Government to try the culprits in a Fast Track Court, they urged that all the convicts must be awarded death sentence and hanged immediately. They also appealed the legal fraternity not to plead for the culprits in the Court.

The protesters also wanted the Governments to take more  serious measures to prevent such heinous crimes in the future and thus create a sense of safety and security among women.  Mysuru unit ABVP office-bearers Shivaprasad, Sharath, Rakesh, Gautam and others took part.
