Mysuru: Vid. H.K. Narashima Murthy, his son Vid. H.N. Bhaskar, an international-level artiste, granddaughter Prithvi (Vid. Bhaskar’s daughter) and Vid. Narasimha Murthy’s nieces Vidu. Sindhu Suchethan and Vidu. Smitha Karthik are giving a grand violin concert, organised by M.L. Krishnaswami (President, Hoysala Karnataka Sangha, Mysuru), on Sept.17 at 5.30 pm. The venue is Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswathi Bhavan, Narayana Sastry Road, Lakshmipuram.
The five main violin artistes are supported by three well-known percussion artistes namely, Vid. Radesh (mridanga), Vid. Phanindra Bhaskar (ghata) and Vid. Ramesh (kanjira). Thus, eight well-known artistes are being assembled on the stage to enthral the classical music fraternity of Mysuru.
Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy, an A-Top grade artiste of All India Radio, has the distinction of tutoring and training a very large number of youngsters in violin, both girls and boys, spread all over the country and abroad besides giving a number of concerts in India and abroad.
His son Vid. H.N. Bhaskar has carried and showcased his talent and grip over his chosen instrument violin — in countries across the globe and is in constant demand there.
In this connection, Vid. Narasimhamurthy and his team of artistes are being honoured by the Sangha.
