Ravindra Jadeja hangs up his T20I boots

Bengaluru: Just moments after the two Indian cricket icons Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 Internationals (T20I), one of world’s best all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja, also bid farewell to T20Is.

Jadeja, known for his dynamic performances on the field, expressed his appreciation for the support and memories garnered throughout his T20 career.

In an Instagram post, Jadeja wrote, “With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats.”

The highlight of Jadeja’s T20 journey culminated in the victory of the T20 World Cup, a milestone he described as a dream come true and the pinnacle of his T20 International career.

He thanked his fans for their unwavering support, the cherished memories and the resounding cheers.

Having made his debut in T20Is against Sri Lanka back in 2009, he played 74 matches, scoring 515 runs and taking                54 wickets.

Jadeja’s retirement marks the end of an era in Indian T20 cricket, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional skill and unwavering dedication to the game.
