RBI Currency Paper Mill sponsors 100 free health camps in villages

Mysuru: Bank Note Paper Mill India Pvt. Ltd., Mysuru (RBI Currency Paper Mill), in association with Amritakripa Hospital, Mysuru, has launched ‘Amrita Saanthwana,’ preventive care health camps for rural people as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Scheme.

A total of 100 free medical camps is being sponsored by Bank Note Paper Mill India Pvt. Ltd. at a total cost of Rs.50 lakh. The Company also is sponsoring shortly a Mobile Health Unit Van with facilities like ECG, Blood tests, X-ray machine, Ultrasound scanning, etc., at a cost of approximately Rs.1.20 crore. These camps will be organised in 30 economically backward villages in Hunsur, Mysuru and H.D. Kote.

Inaugurating the first free medical camp under the CSR Scheme at Doddamaranahalli on Sept.25, K.G. Viswanathan, Managing Director, Bank Note Paper Mill, expressed his happiness to be associated with Amritakripa Hospital for this noble cause of providing free preventive medical healthcare for rural people. 

Ramakrishna of Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt, expressed his gratitude towards Bank Note Paper Mill for their help to launch ‘Amrita Saanthwana’ on Amma’s 66th birthday celebrations and Mysuru Dasara.

In this camp, BP check-up, blood sugar tests were conducted and free medicines were distributed. Around 150 villagers availed this facility. These 100 camps will be conducted till Dasara-2020.
