RCB beat SRH by six runs Register 2nd win of season

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six runs in an IPL 2021 match and went to the top of the points table, here yesterday.

Put in to bat, Glenn Maxwell’s fifty (59 off 41) helped RCB post a modest total of 149/8 in 20 overs.

Apart from Maxwell, skipper Virat Kohli (33) Shahbaz Ahmed (14) and Kyle Jamieson (12) also made valuable contributions.

Jason Holder (3/30) and Rashid Khan (2/18) were the top SRH bowlers.

In reply, SRH were restricted to 143/9 after 20 overs, losing the match by 6 runs. David Warner (54) and Manish Pandey (38) were top-scorers for SRH.

Shahbaz Ahmed (3/17) was the star performer for RCB with the ball.
