Sir,
I fully agree with the views of Dr. Javeed Nayeem in his article titled “Re-Opening Schools, An Unwise Move” in SOM dated Sept.18. I wish to add that a few children may become carriers of the deadly virus — bring home the virus and inadvertently pass it on to elders and super seniors at home. Is it desirable?
The Schools should remain shut till such time the virus is fully eliminated and (or) an effective vaccine is administered to everyone. Meanwhile, online coaching may be intensified and conducted diligently.
Lives are more precious than losing an academic year or two.
