Sir,
The train number 22818 operates from Mysuru to Howrah via Bengaluru-Katpadi-Vijayawada-Vishakapatnam-Bhubaneswar and Kharagpur. The weekly superfast connectivity is an excellent option to travel to Howrah on overnight basis from Mysuru, as the train departs at 12.30 am on Monday (early morning).
Further there is an urgent need to re-schedule the train to leave on previous day instead of the current departure on Monday early morning. The present departure time of 12.30 am on Sunday/Monday midnight is very confusing to many travellers who otherwise find it difficult to book reserved tickets. The departure time falls at the midnight of Sunday and early hours of Monday and thus creates confusion over boarding the train either on Sunday/Monday.
The train schedule is suggested to be tweaked to leave early before midnight preferably at 23.45 hours (11.45 pm) on Sunday night itself. The move to reschedule the train will only help ensure to clear the confusion regarding boarding time and day of operation of the running of the train from Mysuru.
The schedule upto Howrah via Bengaluru can further remain unchanged for the benefit of rail travellers of this region from Mysuru.
Hence, the South Western Railway authorities at Mysuru Division are requested to re-schedule the departure time of train 22818 Mysuru-Howrah Express from the existing 00.30 hours (12.30 am) on Monday to 23.45 hrs (11.45 pm) on Sunday. The move to make such a change in the schedule will only help to avoid any prevailing confusion related to the time and day of departure otherwise existing currently from Mysuru.
