Realtor murder case: Prime accused Basavaraj in Police custody for eight days

Mysore/Mysuru: Basavaraj, the prime accused in the murder of Anand, a realtor, has been remanded to Police custody by the Court for eight days.

Realtor Anand was found murdered in a Service Apartment at Kuvempunagar in the wee hours of Mar. 6 and Basavaraj, the prime accused had surrendered before a Court on Mar. 7.

On Mar. 7 afternoon, Basavaraj, who appeared before the Court with his lawyer, surrendered at the Court which remanded him to judicial custody. 

Kuvempunagar Police, who had registered a case had sought the custody of Basavaraj for questioning and had requested the Court for the same. 

The Second Additional District and Sessions Court Judge then ordered that Basavaraj be handed over to Kuvempunagar Police custody for eight days.

The Police are interrogating Basavaraj and also questioning him on the whereabouts of others involved in the crime. 

The investigating team, following the information provided by accused Basavaraj have launched a hunt to nab others, who are absconding.
