Record Rangoli of Sri Raghavendra Swamy… 

Mysuru artists’ 45,144 sq. ft. long Rangoli enters Book of World Records; feat at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt premises in Mantralaya 

Mysuru: A giant rangoli of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, along with Panchamukhi Anjaneya and Sri Krishna, drawn by a team of artists from Mysuru, led by Puneeth, at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt premises in Mantralaya, has entered the Book of World Records. 

As part of Akshaya Tritiya, artists Puneeth, C. Lakshmi, R. Harshith and K.B. Kumaraswamy, in coordination with Raghavendra Swamy devotee, realtor Venkatachala, drew the Rangoli using 5,175-kg powder on 45,144 square feet space for non-stop 28 hours, to the applause of all. The Book of World Records officials were present during the Rangoli drawing, the video of which was later e-mailed by the artists.  

A certificate of World Record, was received through post on June 25. Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt’s pontiff Sri Subudhendra Teertha has congratulated the team of artists for their record feat. Lakhs of devotees, who visit the Mutt have appreciated the rangoli.
