Sir,
Maharana Pratap Singhji Road is a busy junction located at the intersection of Karanji Lake Road and M.G. Road.
Regrettably, the display board bearing the name of Maharana Pratap Singhji, situated on the Race Course side, is presently in a dismantled and neglected condition. This reflects poorly on civic responsibility and amounts to disrespect to one of the greatest warriors in Indian history.
It may be recalled that, as reported earlier in SOM, the authorities had assured that the damaged display board would be replaced with a new and aesthetically pleasing one. However, no action has been initiated so far.
Further, the pedestrian pavement along the Race Course stretch is in a dilapidated condition. Due to damaged and uneven interlocking blocks, pedestrians are forced to walk on the main road, exposing themselves to serious safety risks, especially during peak traffic hours.
I earnestly request that the Mysuru City Corporation take immediate steps to replace the discarded display board and restore the pedestrian pavement by relaying the interlocking blocks, ensuring safety and convenience for the public at the earliest.
