Rehearsal for yoga chain tomorrow at Mysore Palace

Mysuru: Around 6,001 students from 15 educational institutions will take part in the practice session of the longest yoga chain at the Mysore Palace premises at 8.30 am tomorrow. The main record attempt would be done on June 19.

The District Administration and Mysore Palace Board have been making all arrangements for the practice session. The authorities have removed the barricades installed in the premises to facilitate students to perform yoga. The students will rehearse thrice including once for the media to capture the moment.

Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep held a meeting with the officials at the Mysore Palace Board to discuss on the arrangement made for the rehearsal and also for the record attempt.  

He said that the students would be transported to the venue in 80 buses and they would be provided with drinking water and breakfast. The students will perform in a circular link for which DC Randeep instructed the officials the lay carpets.

Parking facilities for tomorrow’s events has been arranged at Town Hall premises, Doddakere Football Ground, Dasara Exhibition Premises, near Varaha Gate of Mysore Palace, CADA Office premises and near the Amba Vilas Gate.

The meeting was attended by Tourism Dy. Director Janardhan, Advisor Shylaja Srinath, Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya, Food and Civil Supplies Senior Deputy Director Dr. K. Rameshwarappa, District Youth Co-ordinator M.N. Nataraj, Mysuru Travel Association President B.S. Prashanth and others.
