On this occasion, young writer Keerthi S. Byndoor and makeup artist C.V. Saritha will share their thoughts and readers’ perspectives on the book.

Background: ‘Broken Family’ is a poignant and thought-provoking autobiography that reflects author Nethravathi’s personal experiences with untouchability, patriarchal oppression and the pain of caste and gender discrimination. Deeply influenced by Ambedkar’s persona and Lankesh’s ideals, the author’s work transcends an individual narrative to become a powerful voice for Dalit women enduring exploitation and discrimination in society. Characterised by unreserved honesty, deep social consciousness and acute feminine sensibility, the book has aroused great interest among literary enthusiasts.
