Remove dried tree at Kuvempunagar

Sir,

We, the residents of Kuvempunagar, urge the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to immediately remove a dried-up sampige tree located along the main road near Maruthi Temple, behind Kamakshi Hospital.

Several representations have already been submitted to the civic authorities seeking removal of the tree, but no action has been taken so far.

The road witnesses daily movement of schoolchildren, pedestrians and vehicles. Adding to the concern, a high-tension electricity line passes close to the tree. We fear that the weakened tree could fall onto the road or the power lines, potentially causing a serious accident.

We appeal to the MCC to  take immediate preventive action and remove the dangerous tree before any untoward incident occurs.
