Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep, who is also the District Electoral Officer, has said that the probe into the charges made by former Minister S.A. Ramdas that there has been a number of illegal voter deletion in the electoral rolls, has been completed and he would send a report to the Election Commissioner in this regard today.
Stating that Booth-Level Officers (BLO) have been enquired in connection with the alleged irregularities, the DC said that several bundles of applications were found, in which there was no proof of seeking deletion of names or other irregularities.
However, a probe has been conducted on how these bundles reached the spot and who received them. The DC further said that severe action will be taken against anyone found guilty of tampering or manipulating electoral rolls. It may be mentioned that senior BJP leader and former Minister S.A. Ramdas, in a complaint to the DC, had accused that fake applications seeking deletion of 11,000 names of BJP supporters from the voter list at a booth in K.R. Constituency have been submitted.
