JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science, B.N. Road, Mysuru, had organised a programme to felicitate its NCC Cadets Sgt. Dhruvakumar, BN, Sgt. Sandesh S. Patel and Sgt. Harshitha Jeevan, who participated in Republic Day Parade -2017 at New Delhi and Sgt. G.O. Prajith, who participated in the TaI Sainik Camp in Sept. 2016.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Commanding Officer, 14-KAR BN NCC, Mysuru, Lt. Col. M.P. Aravind said that from Mysuru only 14 Cadets had participated in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) among them six Cadets were from 14 KAR BN out of which three Cadets were from JSS College (Ooty Road) alone.
He highlighted about the duties of Cadets and appreciated these Cadets for availing a rare chance to meet the Prime Minister of our country. He further said that as the NCC Cadets have got the basic defence training they should become role model to other students and join Indian Army.
Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College, presided. Prof. M. Mahadevappa, Principal, S. Somashekar, Principal, PU College, Dr. L. Vinaykumar NCC Officer and Subedar Major Raghukar from 14-KAR BN NCC, Mysuru, were present.
Sgt. Anushya welcomed. Sgt. K.R. Nandini rendered invocation. JUO R.K. Bhagyashree compared. Sgt. N.R. Nandini proposed a vote of thanks.
