Residents oppose Open Street Festival

December 26, 2017

Mysuru: Over 50 residents of Devaraja Mohalla staged a protest this morning opposing the move of the District Administration to organise an ‘Open Street Festival’ on Dec. 30 at Devaraj Urs Road.

The residents contended that they were yet to get over the inconvenience faced by them during similar festival held during Dasara-2017. They said that such a festival would disturb the peace of the area, hamper the movement of people and the blaring sound would be too bad for the aged and sick.

They appealed the DC to reconsider the decision and cancel the street festival.
