Mysore/Mysuru: Nanjunde Gowda (86), retired Dy.SP and a resident of Netaji Nagar, passed away at his residence here this morning following brief illness.
He leaves behind three sons T.N. Nagesh, T.N. Shivashankar and T.N. Shashi Kumar, daughter T.N. Savitha and a host of relatives and friends.
He was the President of Police Housing Co-operative Society and served for 22 years, during which he formed and distributed more than 4,100 sites to Police, Army, Fire and Emergency Services personnel and also to other Government employees.
The body will be kept at his Netaji Nagar residence till 5 pm today and will be later taken to his native place Tarikere in Mandya district.
Cremation will be held tomorrow (Oct. 29) at 11 am in Tarikere, according to family members.
