Retd. SI among two killed in road mishaps

Mysuru: Two persons, who had sustained head injuries in separate accidents in city and in K.R. Pet, succumbed to injuries this morning.

In the first case, Nagarajappa (69), retired Sub-Inspector (Wireless), Mysuru City and a resident of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar on T. Narasipur Ring Road, who had sustained serious head injuries in a road accident yesterday and was admitted to Brindavan Hospital, succumbed to injuries this morning after failing to respond to the treatment. Nagarajappa at about 4 pm yesterday was proceeding towards Lalithadripura on T. Narasipur Ring Road on his Honda Activa scooter (KA-55 H-4300), when a Hero Honda Passion bike (KA-55 J-2592), which was coming from behind, rammed into the scooter.

Nagarajappa, who suffered serious head injuries, was rushed to Brindavan Hospital, off Kalidasa Road in city, where he passed away this morning.

Mysuru South Police have registered a case in this regard.

In the second case, Ravi (50), son of late Doddalingappa and a resident of K.R. Pet town, who had sustained head injuries after falling from his scooter yesterday, breathed his last in the early hours today. Ravi was riding his Suzuki Access scooter near Durgamba Circle in K.R. Pet at about 11 pm yesterday, when he fell down and injured his head.

He was rushed to K.R. Hospital here, where he was provided treatment and was rushed to JSS Hospital for advanced treatment, where the doctors declared him ‘Brought Dead.’
