Retired Bank employees demand pension revision

Mysore/Mysuru: At a meeting held at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here on Wednesday, retired bank employees discussed in length the disparity in pension and other retirement benefits.

The meeting dwelled on issues concerning family pension, health insurance, change in Dearness Allowance payment procedure and a review of pension scheme, among others.

The meeting also sought to end disparity in respect of allowances in Public and Private sector banks and a revision of pension in accordance with the rising cost of living.

Bank strike: Meanwhile, various Bank Unions have called for a two-day Nationwide Bank strike on Jan.31 and Feb.1, and the pensioners said that they would support the strike.

Office-bearers of various Banking Unions, K.C. Acharya, Gandhi, Shantharaju, A.N. Krishnamurthy, Gopinath, Sukumar, Anandamurthy and others were present.
