Retired MANMUL staff protest delay in pension

June 12, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Claiming that there has been an undue delay in getting EPF pension, retired employees, under the banner of Mandya District Milk Union (MANMUL) Retired Employees Welfare Society, staged a protest demonstration in front of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Office in Gayathripuram here yesterday.

Pointing out that about 280 MANMUL employees, who retired in 1995 and after, had applied for EPF pension, they alleged that even months after submission of necessary documents, they were yet to get pension.

Maintaining that they were facing a lot of hardship due to pension delay, they wanted the PFO (Provident Fund Office) to settle their EPF pension as per a 2022 Supreme Court ruling, within two weeks depending upon the actual wages.

Society President B.G. Poovaiah, Secretary V. Nagaraj and others took part in the protest.
