Residents hand over mobile phone of miscreant to Police which fell while fleeing
Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have snatched a gold chain of a 60-year-old retired teacher at Ramakrishna Nagar on Friday afternoon. But as luck was not in favour of the miscreants, the mobile phone of one of the chain snatchers fell down while fleeing and the residents have handed over the same to the Police, who are making all efforts to trace and nab the chain snatchers.
The retired teacher, who lost her gold chain is Geetha, a resident of Ramakrishna Nagar, near Ganapathi Temple. She was walking towards her home from Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle and was being followed by two miscreants on their bike. The pillion rider got down on the road behind MUDA Complex, while the rider went ahead and stopped the scooter at a distance.
The pillion rider, who kept following the elderly lady, managed to snatch her gold chain and fled towards the waiting scooter and the miscreants sped away from the spot. As the miscreants fled after snatching the gold chain, his mobile phone, which was in his pant pocket fell down and the residents, who picked up the phone has handed over the same to Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case.
The chain snatching incident has been captured by CCTV cameras which have been installed in front of a few houses and the Cops have collected the CCTV footages and are examining them.
As the Police have the mobile phone of one of the miscreants, it is sure that the miscreants will be nabbed soon.
