Mysore/Mysuru: Rev.Fr. S. Anthony Swamy (59), a priest of the Diocese of Mysore passed away this morning following  cardiac arrest.

He is the nephew of Most Rev. Dr. Thomasappa Anthony Swamy, Bishop of Chikkamagalur and brother of late Fr. Augustine of the Archdiocese of Bengaluru.

The mortal remains were kept for public viewing at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in St. Philomena’s Church premises today till 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at St. Joseph’s Cathedral at 3.30 pm. Burial took place at the Catholic Cemetery on Mahadevapura Road in Gandhinagar later.

Bishop of Mysuru Most Rev. Dr. K.A. William, Bishop emeritus Most Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Vazhapilly, clergies and others have condoled the death of Rev.Fr. S. Anthony Swamy.
