Mysuru: Rev. Fr. S.D. Joseph, a priest of the Diocese of Mysore, breathed his last this morning at 7.45 am at St. Joseph’s Hospital in city where he was admitted a few days ago following brief illness. He was 71.

Born on Mar. 28,1953 at Kollegal, he was ordained as Priest on Apr. 25,1983. He leaves behind 7 sisters, 2 brothers and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral mass will be held at 4 pm today at St. Joseph’s Cathedral (St. Philomena’s Church), Mysuru.

The mortal remains were kept in the Cathedral Church from 2 pm for the family members, Parishioners and the public to pay their last respects to the departed soul.

Condoled: In his condolence message, Archbishop Emeritus Bernard Moras, Apostolic Administrator, Diocese of Mysore, said, “Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace.”
