Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Police have announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 to those who provide information on a convict, who was serving life sentence in a murder case at Mysuru Prisons and has gone absconding after going out on parole.
The absconding convict is Soma alias Kothi Soma of Palahalli village in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district.
Soma was sentenced to life imprisonment after the Mandya Fast Track Court convicted him in a murder case and was lodged in Mysuru Prisons. Soma had taken 30 days parole and was to return to Mysuru Prisons on Nov. 1, 2009, but failed to return and has been absconding since then.
A case has been registered at Nazarbad Police Station and the Police have announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 to those who provide information about Soma’s whereabouts.
