Rider injured as truck hits bike

Mysore/Mysuru: A man sustained serious injuries and is in critical state after a LPG cylinder-laden truck hit the bike he was riding along with his wife in front of Infosys Gate at Hebbal Industrial Area in city this morning.

The seriously injured man has been identified as 59-year-old C.R. Chandra, an employee of Deepanjali Cables in city. His wife, 41-year-old Prema, who works at the Food Court in Infosys premises, has sustained minor injuries. Both are residents of Aralikatte Road in Koorgalli, on the outskirts of city.

Chandra and Prema, were proceeding from Koorgalli side on the bike, when the truck hit the bike in front of Infosys Gate, resulting in Chandra sustain serious head injuries with severe bleeding.

VV Puram Traffic Inspector Lava and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the injured to a private hospital in city, seized both the vehicles involved in the accident and has registered a case.
