Rider killed as car hits bike

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler was killed on the spot when a car hit the bike he was riding on Bogadi Ring Road yesterday night.

The deceased has been identified as Shankar (35), a resident of Hattalu village in H.D. Kote taluk.

Shankar was proceeding on his bike (KA-09-HR-3756) from Bogadi towards Yelwal when a speeding car (KA-13-P-6082) hit the bike killing Shankar on the spot.

The car driver reportedly fled from the spot and the car’s registration number plate was found at the accident spot.

Kuvempunagar Traffic Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary besides registering a case.

The Police, who have collected the car’s registration number plate, are in the process of tracing the car owner.
