Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed when a goods vehicle hit the electric scooter he was riding near Belavatha in city on Thursday (June 9) morning.
The deceased is J. Manjunath (46), a resident of Vidyaranyapuram in city.
On June 9 morning, Manjunath was proceeding on his electric scooter (KA-09-JE-8279) to work and when he neared the under-bridge at B.M. Sri Nagar, a speeding lorry, which came from Metagalli side rammed into the scooter from behind causing severe bleeding due to serious injuries to the head of Manjunath.
Though he was being rushed to K.R. Hospital, he breathed his last mid way. The driver of the goods vehicle has gone absconding and V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
