Mysuru: A bike rider was killed on-the-spot and the pillion rider suffered serious injuries when a goods vehicle rammed into the bike near Hosakote in Yelwal last evening.
While the deceased is Avinash (23), a resident of Dadadakallahalli, his seriously injured friend is Deepak.
Yesterday evening, Avinash and Deepak were proceeding towards Dadadakallahalli from KRS backwaters, when the goods vehicle coming from Yelwal side, rammed into the bike on Yeslwal-Hosakote Road resulting in Avinash being killed on-the-spot and Deepak suffering serious injuries.
The body of Avinash has been shifted to MMC&RI mortuary.
